IntroductionTamolarizine, also known as NC-1100, a novel calcium antagonist. NC-1100 may show a behavior-facilitating effect, although its effect is mild and different from that of typical central stimulants such as methamphetamine. NC-1100 may be a drug inducing the increase of GABA in the cerebellum and medulla oblongata following continuous administration, especially in animals having hypertension associated cerebrovascular disorders such as SHR-SP.
