IntroductionCefetamet Hydrochloride is a cephalosporin antibiotic potentially for the treatment of bacterial infections. Cefetamet is a potent antibiotic to treat respiratory and urinary tract infections. To improve oral bioavailability, it is administered as a prodrug, cefetamet pivoxyl hydrolyzed by esterase following absorption.
